Free field guide · AI workflows for work

A method for using AI at work, not a pile of prompts.

Most professionals don’t need another model comparison. They need a repeatable way to turn meetings, email, research, and planning into workflows they can run on a Tuesday. That’s the AI Playbook Method.

Email in, PDF out. No account. We’ll also note this as an early-reader signup.

Written for managers, ICs, and consultants who feel behind — and want practical workflows, not theory.

The AI Playbook Method

Practical AI workflows for busy professionals

  1. 01Why most people fail at AI at work
  2. 02The five-step method
  3. 03Five ready-to-use playbooks
  4. 04Patterns that transfer across tools
  5. 057-day starter plan

Who it’s for

People with a real calendar.

  • Managers who need decisions out of meetings, not another recap.
  • ICs drowning in email, drafts, and “can you take a first pass?”
  • Consultants who produce briefs and proposals every week.
  • Anyone who has tried a chatbot at work and gotten something almost useful.

Who it’s not for

This is not a platform pitch.

  • People shopping for model rankings or API tutorials.
  • Teams that need an enterprise rollout, SSO, or a new vendor.
  • Anyone expecting AI to replace judgment, or to “10x” a job they have not defined.

The free PDF

What’s inside The AI Playbook Method

A short, high-quality guide — roughly a dozen pages of real content when printed. Built to be used, not collected.

  1. 01

Why most AI-at-work attempts stall after the first demo

  2. 02

The five-step Playbook Method, in order

  3. 03

Five ready-to-run playbooks with prompts and review checklists

  4. 04

Prompt patterns that transfer across ChatGPT, Claude, and similar tools

  5. 05

A 7-day starter plan so you finish with one playbook you trust

How the method works

Five steps. Use them in order.

If a step is fuzzy, don’t skip ahead. Most failed AI experiments start in a blank chat with an unstated outcome.

01

Clarify the outcome

One sentence a coworker could use without you in the room: the artifact, the audience, the decision it should enable.

02

Choose the right task

Give the model a job you can review in five minutes. Split research, drafting, and critique. Skip work you cannot check.

03

Apply a pattern

Use a transferable shape — schema, decision memo, critique-then-rewrite — not a one-off clever prompt.

04

Run a review loop

Facts, decisions, voice, action. Send the critique back once. First output is a draft, even when it looks finished.

05

Save it as a playbook

Outcome, inputs, pattern, checklist. Name it after the job, not the tool. That file is the asset.

Ready to run

Five playbooks for jobs you already have.

Playbook 01

Meeting notes → decisions

A one-page decision log a missing colleague can act on.

Playbook 02

Email triage

Now / this week / waiting / archive, plus drafts for the now pile only.

Playbook 03

Research brief

What we know, what we don’t, sources, and one recommended next step.

Playbook 04

Proposal draft

Problem, approach, scope, assumptions — no invented case studies.

Playbook 05

Weekly planning

Outcomes, work blocks, and an honest not-doing list for the calendar you actually have.

Then reuse

Save what worked. Name it after the job.

The chat is not the asset. The playbook is.

Early readers

This is an experiment. We will not fake the proof.

There are no customer logos here, no invented “2,000 teams,” and no composite testimonials. The site exists to test whether a short, serious playbook earns a signup from people who already have a job.

If you use a playbook on real work, you are an early reader. Tell us what held up and what broke. That is the only social proof worth collecting.

“Almost useful” is the usual result of a blank chat. A playbook is how you stop there.

From the guide — not a customer quote.

Paid, when it ships

Pro Playbook Pack

The free guide is the method plus five starter playbooks. That is enough to see if the approach fits your week. The Pro pack is the expanded kit — templates and more playbooks — when it is ready.

  • Additional playbooks: hiring loops, stakeholder updates, workshop agendas, post-mortems
  • Editable schemas and review rubrics you can hand to a colleague
  • A short note on introducing one playbook to a team without a rollout theater

Checkout is not live. No fake “buy now.” Join the waitlist if you want the pack when it exists. If the free guide already covers your work, you do not need it.

Waitlist

One email when the pack is ready. Same list hygiene as the free PDF — no sale of addresses.

We’ll only email about the Pro Playbook Pack.

FAQ

Straight answers

Is this tied to ChatGPT, Claude, or another tool?

No. The method and playbooks are written as transferable patterns. Use whatever approved tool you already have. The job stays the same when the product name changes.

How long is the PDF, and what do I actually get?

A short field guide — roughly a dozen pages of usable content: why AI-at-work stalls, the five-step method, five ready playbooks, prompt patterns, and a 7-day starter plan. It is not a 200-page course.

What do you do with my email?

We use it to deliver the playbook and, if you stay on the list, occasional notes when the Pro pack or a new playbook is ready. We do not sell your address. See the privacy page for the full note.

Is there a paid version?

A Pro Playbook Pack is sketched on this page: expanded playbooks, templates, and review rubrics. Checkout is not live. The waitlist is the only paid-path signal we collect.

Can I share this with my team?

Yes. The free guide is meant to be used on real work. If a playbook fails in your context, that is useful — do not pretend it is a finished platform.

Do you have customer logos or testimonials?

Not yet, and we will not invent them. This is an early experiment. If you become an early reader, you can tell us what held up at work.
